Asa Breed is the third LP released by Matthew Dear under his given name. The work is notable for the Dear's transition to shorter, more lyrical songs than his previous works. The title references a minor character in the Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. novel ''Cat's Cradle''. It was named the 39th best album of the decade by Resident Advisor.
